MetLife Implementation Manager in Aurora, Illinois
Role Value Proposition:
The Implementation Manager position within the Group Benefits organization is responsible for managing a team of associates to onboard new business. In addition, the role partners with business units to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely and of high quality, manages the setup process in adherence with project plans and timelines. and participates in weekly or periodic status meetings with internal departments, customers, and intermediaries to review progress and resolve issues. The Implementation Manager has direct responsibility for the onboarding process and serves as project lead for any activities that the team or organization is managing. The manager has overall responsibility for the associates, products, processes and technology for their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages the review of proposed plans and project timelines with sales staff to identify services that may impact cost or the company’s ability to meet/exceed customer expectations during the sales process.
Partners with other business units (Sales, IT, etc.) to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely, and accurately.
May participate in sales presentations with customers and intermediaries to set expectations and to finalize plan design; Reviews final plan design features and administrative services and makes business decisions regarding appropriate changes.
Coordinate and lead team on all case implementation related activities throughout the organization including Sales, Admin, Enrollment Services, Communications, Legal, Compliance, and IT, etc.
Identifies implementation-related problems and helps resolve issues.
Reviews and executes legal documents; manages to project plans.
Conducts periodic status meetings internally to review progress and resolve issues.
Monitor progress against project plans.
Has formal people management & budget responsibilities
Assigns workload to staff and manages performance.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
3+ years of employee benefits experience
Comprehensive understanding of the business and its products and services
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to modify and develop procedures and policies to meet reporting needs/requirements.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
5+ years related business experience.
