Insight Global Travelling Survey and Drafting Engineer (Mechanical) in Aurora, Colorado
Job Description
A well-established Industrial Engineering company specializing in mechanical and control systems is looking for multiple Entry Level Traveling Survey and Drafting Engineer, with the goal of being absorbed into the Mechanical Engineering team. Responsibilities for the first 6-12 months include traveling 80% of the time to various facilities in the US and using a Lidar laser scanner to collect 3D images. When not travelling to take scans, you will work onsite in Aurora, CO in tandem with other Mechanical Engineers with the goal of improving your professional skillsets in drafting, design, and project execution. You will be given the opportunity to learn and advance at the pace you set for yourself. In-office responsibilities include converting imaging to point clouds, creating designs for mechanical equipment, laying out and detailing components and systems. Additional duties include maintaining project drawing files, read shop drawing, and prepare submittal documentation. On the job training will be heavily incorporated. Travel is fully paid by the company, including per diem.
This is a contract-to-hire position that will become permanent after 6 months. This company only promotes internally, leaving plenty of room for advancement. Candidates must pass a drug test.

Skills and Requirements
Willing to travel up to 80%
BS Mechanical Engineering 3.1+ GPA
Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, OR Autodesk recap Experience with point clouds
Bachelors or Associates in Mechanical Engineering
Experience using Leica or other Lidar scanners null
