TEKsystems Service Technician in Aurora, Colorado

ADT: Mid-Level Service Techs (2 open spots)

Duration: 6 month contract to hire (eligible for a raise upon conversion based on your performance )

Location: Servicing Denver Metro. The headquarters is in Aurora. But you only need to go there 1x/week to pick up supplies for jobs.

Rate: 20-24/hour based on experience level. Eligible for a raise upon conversion to FTE.

Top Skills' Details:

  • 2+ years of experience installing/servicing AND PROGRAMMING home security devices required. (Example: Installing/Programming Google Home or Alarm products in residential homes such as Burglar Alarms, window censors, CCTV (IP & Analog), DVRs, window lock breaks, etc)

  • Punctuality / Reliable Transportation/Valid Drivers License

  • Interpersonal / Customer Service Skills - Must be presentable - Would you want this person to do work in your house?

Work Environment:

Residential houses in the Denver area. Will be using their own vehicle to go from site to site, by themselves. Will have access to tech support to get any help they need on the job.

Must be flexible with driving up to 1 hour to cover the Denver Metro area. 15-45 mile radius from their home location.

will reimburse you $100 for gas weekly!

Schedule:

  • First 1-2 weeks in training: Monday-Friday

  • NORMAL SCHEDULE for this role: Tuesday-Saturday – Have to be at the first job by 7:59am and normally over @5-6pm. (your done with the jobs are completed so it could be later if you are slower).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • The reality today is that they will take anyone with a bit of experience installing Google Home products or servicing/troubleshooting and reprogramming these products with a good attitude, a good work ethic!

  • They will need to be extremely customer-oriented and display professionalism at all times in these customer homes. They need to be on time consistently.

  • Must have Great Communication skills. This is very important along with being reliable and possessing an adaptive personality. This person should have stellar interpersonal skills, along with the ability to think quickly on their feet, read non-verbal ques from the home's resident and have a solution oriented, customer-centric attitude. The last thing a customer wants to hear is that "I'm not familiar with this system or I do not know how to work on this." It's important to give the customer confidence that their issue will be resolved.

Day-to-day duties:

  1. Mainly troubleshooting/servicing and then programming of Burglar Alarms, window censors, CCTV (IP & Analog), DVRs, and Access Control Systems for residential customers.

  2. Some Mounting/Installation of new equipment- alarms, window breaks, door units, smoke detectors.

  3. Troubleshooting signal issues to ensure the alarm functions properly if needed.

  4. Perform daily hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level and some smaller customer care levels.

  5. Test and verify signals for equipment

  6. Train customers on use of equipment and answer all questions to ensure that they have no additional need (equipment, etc.).

  7. Completing necessary customer paperwork for each job.

  8. Cost ALL PART utilize for each individual job installed PRIOR to closing out job with the dispatch center.

  9. Maintaining accurate truck inventory of ADT products.

  10. Provide top-quality customer service.

  11. Achieve 90% Goal Attainment for completed installations and zero “go-backs”.

Must be willing to consent to a BG check, Drug Test and DMV check (No DUIs)
