Job Title: Safety Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction safety, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. This role involves ensuring the safety of all workers on-site, identifying potential hazards, developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, providing safety training, and enforcing compliance with safety regulations. The Safety Manager will work closely with the project team to ensure all necessary documents, procedures, and requirements are in place and completed.
Responsibilities
Identify potential hazards on construction sites and develop safety protocols to mitigate risks.
Implement and enforce safety regulations to minimize accidents and injuries.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Provide safety training to construction crews and other personnel.
Document and report safety data effectively.
Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
Work with the project team to ensure all required documents, procedures, and requirements are completed.
Essential Skills
Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and standards.
Board of Certified Safety Professionals CSP with at least 4 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience, or
Board of Certified Safety Professionals ASP, GSP, or SMS with at least 6 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience, or
Board of Certified Safety Professionals CHST or OHST with at least 8 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience.
Completed OSHA 500 course for construction.
Proof of non-expired completion of a Red Cross or equivalent CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
Proof of completion of FMCSA-compliant 2-hour drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion supervisory training.
Proficiency in safety training delivery.
Ability to document and report safety data effectively.
Minimum 5 years in the commercial building industry.
Management experience.
Experience with Procore preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a diversity of project types such as private sector, aviation, data center, government work, healthcare.
Motivational leadership skills.
Assumption of corporate-level responsibilities in alignment with company goals.
Work Environment
This role involves working on-site at various commercial construction projects, predominantly at an airport. The position requires adherence to strict safety protocols and regulations. The position is available due to the previous candidate's departure, and there are long-term opportunities for those who perform well. Relocation may be provided for the right candidate. A drug and background test will be required, with the possibility of random testing if assigned to airport projects
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $50.00/hr.
