Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with and oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical trials and studies
Obtain study subject's medical history and current medication information, reviews research protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria, and confirms eligibility of subject to participate in clinical trial
Perform informed consent process or ensures that the informed consent process has occurred, is properly documented, and that informed consent form documents are filed as required
Assist with subject recruitment efforts including, interviewing prospective subjects and educating potential subjects on the details of the study through phone contacts and personal interviews
Schedule subject participation in research clinical trial, coordinating availability of necessary space, and clinical research support (e.g., physician, laboratory, radiology)
Collect, code, and analyze data obtained from research in an accurate and timely manner
Adhere to research regulatory standards and maintain detailed records of studies to ensure compliance with all requirements, study protocols, and department standard operating procedures
Ensure that the necessary supplies and equipment for studies are in stock and in working order
Assist with study subject reimbursement
Administrative and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any field
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis .
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science or health related field
Clinical research or related experience
Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and on the telephone
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
Outstanding customer service skills
Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion
Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology
Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information

We are searching for an individual with a passion for working with older adults. This Clinical Science Professional will be supporting the work of different NIH and VA grant funded projects. These projects are studying older adults undergoing rehab for knee arthroplasty and medically complex adults in various patient settings (nursing homes or other long-term care facilities), including rural veterans.
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

The department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado (CU PM&R) is at the forefront of using team science, regenerative medicine, and exercise treatments. The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as ($47,084 - $59,891). The above salary range () represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
