Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Assistant Professor:
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
DEA certificate
Ability to obtain CO medical license
0-6 years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic promotion
Associate Professor:
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
DEA certificate
Ability to obtain CO medical license
6 or more years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic promotion
Condition of Employment:
Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous work experience in a Child Neurology practice: Private or Academic
Previous experience performing work in quality improvement projects in Child Neurology
Previous teaching experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills; both written and orally
Broad knowledge and clinical skills in pediatric neurology
Commitment to Patient Safety, Quality Care, Communication, and Customer Service

This position will provide clinical care for patients with general neurological disorders, primarily in the outpatient setting. The position will include clinical service and teaching. Clinical responsibilities include participation in the outpatient general neurology clinic and participation in doctor-of-the-week call service. The starting salary range () for this position has been established as Assistant Professor: $207,500 to $220,000 Associate Professor: $230,000 to 250,000 The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
