Human Resources – 65%

  • Liaison with HRSS

  • Coordinate Recruitments and hiring

  • Review minimum qualifications of candidates

  • Coordinate interviews

  • Work with DFA on Assistant Professor and above hires

  • On-Boarding for all new hires (faculty and staff)

  • Skillsoft

  • Credentialing-all locations and annual credentialing calendar

  • Coordinate PRIMS reviews and FIMS Updates

  • Time off/Collections

  • License Management (tracker to notify proper partners of renewal)

Community Relations – 15%

  • Reconciliation of travel upon return

  • Social Media and Website Coordination – 10%

  • Maintain social media presence quarterly including website

General Administrative Work – 10%

  • administrative partner for spine and community-based faculty

  • other duties as assigned by supervisor, DFA or Chair

  • external event coordinator

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences or a directly related field from an accredited institution

  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

  • 2 years of professional level experience.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare or academic setting

  • Experience with University of Colorado systems including Concur, CU Marketplace, and HCM

  • Experience managing multiple schedules in Outlook

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) proficiency

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Outstanding customer service skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

  • Proficient knowledge and working experience of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Strong and demonstrable organizational and time management skills; ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage interrelated and/or complex issues or transactions.

Neurosurgery at CU is a dynamic, rapidly growing educational enterprise, and we are one of the largest Departments of Neurosurgery in the western United States. Currently the Department encompasses 4 teaching institutions: University Hospital, Colorado Children's Hospital, the Colorado VA Medical Center and Denver Health and Hospitals, with all but the latter now located on the new 225 acre Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. The Anschutz Medical Campus, is a truly state-of-the-art center for education, clinical programs, research and innovation Our current faculty includes 25 Neurosurgeons, 3 Neuro-critical care Intensivists, an ever-growing division of Interventional Neuro-radiology, 5 Neuropsychologists and 4 full-time dedicated research PH.D.'s. The starting salary range () for this position has been established as 51,525 - $63,000 The above salary range () represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
