The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Clinical Care
Provide full scope direct patient care in an ambulatory clinical setting.
Participate as needed in chart review and clinical coding compliance activities.
Assist in supervision of advanced practice providers at the clinic.
Assist in administrative/clinical quality improvement functions relating to a variety of programs at the direction of the medical director.
Teaching and Mentoring
- Provide education to medical students during their ambulatory rotation.
Administrative/Professional Development
Maintain eligibility for School of Medicine Faculty.
Keep abreast of the latest developments in field, both academically and through applied skill.
Attend and present at conferences, meetings and trainings in order to maintain certification and enhance professional skills; participates in faculty development activities.
Accept other responsibilities assigned by the Medical Director.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Centerfield, Colorado.

Senior Instructor
Education: Terminal degree in Medicine or Osteopathy (MD or DO). Board Certified or Board Eligible* in Family Medicine by the ABFM or AOA/AOBFP. *If Board Eligible, must initiate process for Board Certification within a year of position start date.
Experience: Graduation from an accredited Family Medicine Residency program.
Special Skills: Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License and possession of a current DEA Certificate. Ability to be fully credentialed with the UCH system and UPI Managed Care.
Assistant Professor
Education: Terminal degree in Medicine or Osteopathy (MD or DO). Board Certified or Board Eligible* in Family Medicine by the ABFM or AOA/AOBFP. *If Board Eligible, must initiate process for Board Certification within a year of position start date.
Experience: Graduation from an accredited Family Medicine Residency program.

Associate Professor

Experience: Graduation from an accredited Family Medicine Residency program and 7+ years' experience working in primary care.
Special Skills: Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License and possession of a current DEA Certificate. Ability to be fully credentialed with the UCH system and UPI Managed Care. Ability to meet the School of Medicine's criteria for Associate Professor.
Professor
Education: Terminal degree in Medicine or Osteopathy (MD or DO). Board Certified or Board Eligible* in Family Medicine by the ABFM or AOA/AOBFP. *If Board Eligible, must initiate process for Board Certification within a year of position start date.
Experience: Graduation from an accredited Family Medicine Residency program and 10+ years' experience working in primary care.
Special Skills: Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License and possession of a current DEA Certificate. Ability to be fully credentialed with the UCH system and UPI Managed Care. Ability to meet the School of Medicine's criteria for Associate Professor.
Preferred Qualifications (all positions)
Experience in working in an interprofessional, integrated practice/patient-centered medical home (PCMH) environment.
Experience or interest in education and research and faculty development.
Experience with using an electronic health record system, preferably Epic.
Experience with providing Telehealth/virtual visits.
Licensed MAT provider.
Experience or interest in LGBTQ+ patient care.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Senior Instructor Hiring Range:
$195,000-$242,000, plus the possibility of incentives based on clinical FTE.
Assistant Professor Hiring Range:
$195,000-$242,000, plus the possibility of incentives based on clinical FTE.
Associate Professor Hiring Range
$201,000-$248,000 plus the possibility of incentives based on clinical FTE.
Professor Hiring Range
$207,000-$254,000 plus the possibility of incentives based on clinical FTE.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.

The Clinical Affairs Team is seeking self-motivated, change-oriented, Family Medicine Physicians who demonstrate outstanding communication, team building, and clinical skills and who seek to work in a new-model practice that is focused on continuity and whole-person care. A significant responsibility of the clinic and its employees and providers will be to employ rapid-cycle innovation in the implementation, assessment, and evaluation of new ideas that if successful, will be scaled out to the organization as a whole. Candidates for this position should highlight their strengths and experience among the key domains of the position which include teamwork, experience with Quality and Process Improvement, experience with and use of healthcare-related technology including wearables and point-of-care devices, information technology and virtual care/artificial intelligence/emerging technology, and the desire to provide comprehensive medical and procedural care within an ambulatory setting. Ideal candidates would demonstrate experience and interest in several of these areas and would be able to leverage unique skills and personal experience to complement other staff and providers. Ideal candidates are expected to demonstrate transparent communication skills including listening and messaging, decision-making skills that emphasize team-based input, the ability to weigh risks and benefits, and a willingness to think "outside the box". Above all, candidates should see themselves as "early adopters" who willingly "raise their hands first" when confronted with new opportunities. Candidates should demonstrate both a commitment to sustaining a functioning medical practice and providing up-to-date and comprehensive medical care and an understanding of how a practice can recognize and act on unique and evolving opportunities. This position is posted at the Senior Instructor level. In the event that one's experience exceeds that of a Senior Instructor, or if the candidate wants to be on the promotion track, Assistant Professor will be considered. If the candidate has additional experience, Associate Professor or Professor will be considered.
