National Youth Advocate Program Development Manager in Aurora, Colorado

Position Title: Development Manager

Location: Aurora, CO

Position Summary

The Development Manager provides leadership and operational management to ensure the continual growth and success of the organization’s programming according to its mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

The Development Manager will perform duties including, but not limited to:

  • Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies.

  • Actively support, represent, and extend the mission of the organization through program management, direct service, customer contacts, and all other assigned functions.

  • Identify, evaluate, cultivate, and solicit for new agency contracts.

  • Identify, evaluate, and participate in response to Request for Proposals and other funding opportunities.

  • Maintain ongoing contact with referral partners through personal visits, phone calls, and written communication to ensure positive relationships and that customer service needs are met.

  • Develop and implement strategies for increasing and maintaining foster care capacity to meet quarterly and annual recruitment goals.

  • Promote a positive public image of NYAP to all contacts.

  • Ensure regional staff are hired, trained, and supervised effectively to deliver services to agency customers.

  • Promote successful staff development and continuing education to ensure the implementation of best practice protocols.

  • Provide leadership at all regional staff meetings, which occur at least once a month.

  • Direct regional quality advancement efforts to ensure service quality meets contract requirements, internal measures and outcomes, and standards required by regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure that staff contact with youth and families aligns with treatment needs and contract terms.

  • Actively support and follow through on team goals.

  • Support all staff in accomplishing monthly, quarterly, and annual productivity goals, including Medicaid revenue projections and new foster home licensing targets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Services or a related field, or a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 30 semester credits in social or behavioral sciences.

  • For candidates with a Bachelor’s degree :

  • At least 5 years of full-time or equivalent part-time administrative experience, including 2 years of supervision of professional staff and budget/fiscal management.

  • For candidates with a Master’s degree :

  • At least 2 years of full-time or equivalent part-time administrative experience, including supervision of professional staff and budget/fiscal management.

  • A minimum of 9 semester hours in business or finance may substitute for budget/fiscal management experience.

  • Valid professional licensure is strongly preferred in Colorado as required by state law and/or regulatory bodies, due to Medicaid and insurance regulations.

  • Proficient in the use of desktop/laptop computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, fax machines, and software (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases).

Driving and Vehicle Requirements
