Job Overview
This is a full-time, dynamic athletic trainer position for the JeffCo School District. The role involves rotating throughout the district, assisting in the athletic training room, and providing coverage for both practices and games. It also encompasses support for the triage line within our Orthopedic Institute and club sports coverage when needed. During the school year, the candidate should anticipate evening and weekend athletic coverage, as well as at least one morning shift per week dedicated to the triage line. During the summertime, the candidate can expect 1-2 triage shifts and assist with club sports tournament coverage. The primary responsibilities for the Athletic Trainer are to provide superior rehabilitative care to injured athletes and patients, educate the public on injury prevention, rehabilitation, wellness and other health-related issues, and maintain the highest standards of care to student athletes under the direction of the team physician.
The Athletic Trainer II is the second level in a Career Advancement Program (CAP) and functions as a lead Athletic Trainer at a Club, Secondary School or non-operative physician.In addition to the essential functions below, team members must complete the requirements and competencies for level II as defined by the Athletic Trainer CAP.

Qualifications
Education:Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field. Experience:One (1) year as a certified Athletic Trainer working in a clinic, community outreach or hospital environment Equivalency:None Certification(s):Certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Licensure(s):State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) License for Athletic Trainer
