Job Overview

The Associate Clinical Manager is responsible for managing a unit/department by implementing and maintaining specific policies, procedures, and guidelines; leading team members in providing direct patient care by demonstrating expert clinical knowledge; ensuring compliance with quality and safety initiatives and practices; and partnering with a multidisciplinary team in meeting the clinical needs of patients and families. The Associate Clinical Manager also provides leadership and management to unit/department team members. Finally, the Associate Clinical Manager in periods when volumes are high and mandates, will serve as the charge therapist by preparing schedules and assigning team members to patients, overseeing the general flow of patient care and serving as a liaison to the res

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Master's degree preferred. Experience: 3 years' experience in a Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care setting Equivalency: 2 years' experience in a pediatric/neonatal critical care setting with 2 years respiratory care supervision. Certification(s): Must be aRegistered Respiratory Therapist) byNational Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Neonatal-Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist certification (RRT-NPS) by the NBRC and Registered Pulmonary Function Therapist (RPFT) if administering pulmonary function tests within 1 years of being an ACM. BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications. Licensure(s): Colorado Respiratory Therapist License Professional Membership(s): Active membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care.
