FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $23.49 - $30.53 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Facilitates and assists with coordination of admission activities for all levels of care including insurance information, screening, scheduling, and admitting patients.
Responsibilities:
Receives and manages calls coming into Admissions Department. Assists with family members, friends, providers, and vendors calling seeking information about services and treatment. Provides resources as needed. Logs calls and works through follow up on admission inquiries.
Works with prospective patients and families by completing phone screens, obtaining insurance information, and providing information regarding treatment and processes.
Assists with admissions arriving to the facility. Works with teammates to ensure clerical and administrative duties are prepared daily for potential admissions. Documents and tracks admissions into electronic medical records, schedules level of care assessments and preadmissions
Obtains vitals, reports vitals and patient medications/presentation to nursing. Coordinates paperwork and works with clinical staff to complete admission assessment.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree.
1 year of relevant experience.
