The Role

The Senior Lead Engineer will work in a challenging, hands-on environment supporting the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its various State agencies and their requirements. The candidate will be responsible for multiple enterprise system requirements, design, development, implementation, and repairing of the COPA and Lumen sponsored solutions.

The Main Responsibilities

• The candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in system architecture and engineering disciplines. Specific technical knowledge of enterprise level networking and network security.

• Experience with the full range of security products supported by the team – FortiManager, FortiGate firewalls, FortiWeb WAFs, FortiAuthenticator and Mobility Agent, Splunk, Python for scripting

• Troubleshooting network issues: system and application connectivity, VPNs, routing and switching, BGP, etc.

• Configure firewall interfaces, network configurations, ACLs, policies, routing, and NGFW UTM features – Web Content Filtering, IDS/IPS, App Control, AntiVirus, DLP, etc.

• Project work to include standing up new security products or integrating our security solutions with other products used in the customer environment

• Experience with System Monitoring and project task tracking tools (i.e. Solarwinds/Splunk/Zabbix/Service Now, etc.)

• Available 24/7 for Network Outages and Maintenance window work.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Candidate must be a US Citizen to be considered for this position.

• 10+ years of experience in Information Security, Information Assurance (IA), or Cyber Security programs.

• Deep understanding of Information Assurance frameworks and Federal information security requirements (e.g. ISO 27000 series, NIST 800-53 and 800-171, NIST RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).

• Bachelors of Science degree or higher, preferably in Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a strong interest in the cyber security field with emphasis on Network Protection technologies and techniques.

• 7+ years of experience with system security concepts, system security assessments, threat and vulnerability management, firewall configuration and maintenance, routing and switching experience, and a history of self-driven long-term project deliveries.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: PA
