Job description

The Senator Inn & Spa is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our Swim & Health Spa. This role is responsible for preventative maintenance of the indoor salt water mineral pool, traditional chlorinated hot tub, outdoor pool, steam room, saunas, as well as repairs and maintenance of the spa facility and equipment.

The best candidate for the job will be an active individual who is ready to the be on their feet and on the go regularly for a full 8-hour shift. Every day is different in the hospitality world, and Maintenance Technicians need to be flexible with their plans and daily priorities. \"The best laid plan is great until the first guest service call.\"

Preferred shift: 8hr, 2nd or 3rd (grave yard) shift - starting anytime after 3pm & ending prior to 5am.

Key duties/responsibilities of Hotel maintenance personnel:

  • Previous Facility Maintenance experience required
  • Previous Pool/Hot tub experience required
  • CPO certification strongly preferred
  • Respond to all guests request in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete work order requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition.
  • Provide maintenance repairs to all areas of the Swim & Health Spa. This requires general technical skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, and tile repairs.
  • Pool chemical testing and ability to make corrections as needed.
  • Lawn care to include: mowing, weed whacking, fall/spring clean up
  • Snow removal to include shoveling, plowing, snow blowing, & salt/sand
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Flexible schedule to include early evenings and weekends

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Team player
  • Valid drivers license with 5 years clean driving experience
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to work independently
  • Skilled in multi-trades
  • An ideal candidate must be proactive and be confident in his/her abilities.
  • Must work cooperatively and professionally with hotel guests and staff.
