Social Service Licensing Consultant II in Augusta, ME

This work will be done remotely, but will require some travel.

Description:Oversee Home and Community Based (HCBS) licensing staff (Social Service Licensing Consultant I) by providing training, feedback, and observation. Provide programmatic guidance and support. Monitor compliance with licensing rules and regulations as specified. Review documentation pertaining to deficiencies, complaints and investigations and respond in a timely manner. Act as a liaison providing technical support to providers regarding regulations. Assess and review program operations for improvement, quality, and overall effectiveness of services.

Representative Tasks:

Review internal documentation for accuracy and record integrity.

Identify trends related to quality and workflow, address to improve where applicable.

Ensure licensing staff observe all rules, policies, and regulations.

Provide technical assistance to providers and staff as needed.

Manage program operations optimally.

Address and correct matters related to quality where applicable.

Provide training and feedback to staff members.

Utilize software programs to analyze service performance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of social service systems including developmental disabilities programs, mental health, autism spectrum and brain injury and substance use.

Knowledge of community resources and provider services.

Experience supervising staff.

Experience in relaying performance related feedback.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to evaluate programs through data collection, observation, and technology.

Experience in quality assurance/improvement.

Ability to collaborate and build working relationships.

Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects with varying priority levels.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree with at least three years’ experience supervising teams. Three to five years’ experience in compliance, quality, inspection, or related field. Social service work welcomed. Other education/experience equaling eight years to be considered.

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
