Job Description
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI team is responsible for growing OCI’s Generative AI and Agent services. Our goal is to enable customers to apply AI to solve their particular business problems with Oracle--s assistance and expertise in Generative AI. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work with teams of applied scientists and engineers to deliver high quality generative ai models and services that delights our customers with the confidence that their data are safe and protected.
Your Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead image generation model research and development efforts. As the video generation model scientist lead, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge video generation and manipulation technologies. You will lead a team of world-class scientists in exploring new frontiers of video synthesis, style transfer, and video editing.
Responsibilities:
Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research on image generation techniques, including generative adversarial networks (GANs), diffusion models, and other emerging approaches.
Model Development: Design, develop, and train state-of-the-art image generation models that meet the highest quality standards.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and engineers.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate video generation capabilities into various applications and products.
Innovation: Identify new opportunities for image generation and explore emerging technologies.
Stay Updated: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and advancements in video generation.
Qualifications and Experience:
PhD Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics or a related field with a dissertation, thesis or final project centered in Machine Learning and Deep Learning) with 8+ years relevant experience is preferred but not a must; OR Masters or Bachelor’s in related field with 12+ years relevant experience
Strong publication record, including as a lead author or reviewer, in top-tier journals or conferences.
Extensive experience in image generation, computer vision, and deep learning
Proven track record of leading research and development projects
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and architectures
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong leadership and communication abilitiesEducation

Minimum Qualifications: PhD Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics or a related field with a dissertation, thesis or final project centered in Machine Learning Techniques OR Masters or Bachelor's in one or more of these fields. Minimum 6 years work experience in the areas of machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing or data mining with a PhD OR 10+ years experience with a Master’s or Bachelor's. Preferred Qualifications: Scientific thinking and the ability to invent, with a track record of thought leadership and contributions to the advancement of the field. Demonstrated experience in successfully designing and shipping models using machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling across different data domains and modalities. Experience shipping machine learning or statistical models. Demonstrated experience successfully delivering large-scale ML solutions for complex customer/business problems. Deeper technical understanding and broadened knowledge related to architecture. Broad expertise or unique knowledge; uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Training machine learning models with large scale data using techniques such as data and model parallels. Strong publication record, including at least one as lead author, in top-tier ML and NLP journals and/or conferences. Depending on the job there may be additional minimum requirements and/or preferred qualifications.

US: Hiring Range: from $139,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
