Job Title: Identity Product Manager - Healthcare

Job Summary:

The Identity Product Manager in Healthcare is responsible for developing and managing identity and access management (IAM) products and services tailored to the healthcare industry. This role ensures that identity solutions meet the unique needs of patients, providers, and healthcare organizations by enhancing security, user experience, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong blend of product management expertise, technical knowledge of IAM systems, and familiarity with healthcare workflows and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Strategy & Roadmap:

    • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for identity and access management (IAM) products in alignment with organizational goals.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation in healthcare identity solutions.
    • Prioritize features and improvements based on customer needs, business value, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT, security, compliance, clinical) and external stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
    • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the IAM product addresses the needs of patients, providers, and administrative staff.
  3. Healthcare-Specific Focus:

    • Design IAM solutions that integrate seamlessly with healthcare IT systems, including electronic health records (EHR) platforms like Epic or Cerner.
    • Address identity challenges unique to healthcare, such as patient portal access, provider credentialing, and telehealth authentication.
  4. Product Development & Delivery:

    • Work closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver IAM features on time and within budget.
    • Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
    • Oversee product testing to ensure functionality, security, and compliance.
  5. Compliance & Security:

    • Ensure IAM products meet healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, and GDPR.
    • Partner with security teams to integrate best practices, including multifactor authentication (MFA), role-based access control (RBAC), and zero-trust architecture.
  6. User Experience:

    • Optimize the user experience for healthcare professionals and patients, balancing security with ease of access.
    • Develop features like single sign-on (SSO), mobile authentication, and password-less login to streamline workflows.
  7. Performance Monitoring:

    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IAM products, such as adoption rates, user satisfaction, and incident reductions.
    • Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and guide future development.
  8. Communication & Documentation:

    • Create and maintain product documentation, including roadmaps, user guides, and training materials.
    • Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and achievements.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master\'s preferred).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably with a focus on identity and access management or security products.
  • 3+ years of experienc in the healthcare industry, with knowledge of clinical workflows and patient needs.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Product Management Certification.
  • Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM).
  • Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (CHISPP).

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of IAM frameworks, technologies, and tools (Saviynt, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, etc.).
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, NIST).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable product decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions (Saviynt and Ping)
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Work Environment:

Remote work model with potential travel to healthcare facilities or conferences.
