Job Description Summary: As a nursing member of MaineGeneral's Cardiac Rehab Team you will play a crucial role in helping individuals with cardiac and pulmonary conditions regain their health, functionality, and quality of life.
Job Description:
Role: Cardiopulmonary Rehab Nurse (RN)
Cardiopulmonary Rehab Nurses enhance the social and motivational aspects of recovery, creating a supportive community for patients on their journey to improved cardiac and pulmonary health.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
No weekends, no holidays.
This position requires working at both the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta and the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville.
What You'll Do:
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Works directly with patients to guide exercise plans and workouts. Works directly with patients to support healthy lifestyle changes.
Evaluates the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides the patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
Your Qualifications:
Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required
At least 5 years of nursing experience, preferred
ACLS preferred
Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills
Proven and demonstrated critical thinking skills
