What does a successful Software Development/Engineering Manager do at Fiserv?

Our Professional Services team is developing Mobile Banking Solutions for International clients in the Asia Pacific Region. We're seeking a strong Development Engineering leader to head our Platform services/DevOps team.

Our ideal candidate will currently be a Software Development/Engineering Manager , or an experienced Technical or Team Lead who has been leading a team of .Net developers/DevOps Engineers and is looking for the next step in their career.

What you will do:

• Provide thought leadership in software development and day-to-day guidance to Developers as part of software delivery for clients.

• Be comfortable creating technical strategies that will help drive the direction of Development across projects.

• Have line management responsibility for a team of 10-15 .Net developers/DevOps Engineers including performance management, professional development, training, and recruitment.

• Drive technical quality and processes to improve the standard and speed of software delivery in the organisation.

• Continuously improve our organisation by identifying ways and means to promote a culture of innovation, self-improvement, and commitment.

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years managing and guiding a team of software engineers

• 10+ years hands-on software development experience

• A passion for new technologies and well-versed in modern engineering tools and practices

• A proven track record of leading developers to deliver outcomes on time and with high quality

• Are a critical thinker who enjoys conceptual thinking and problem solving.

• Are a professional with demonstrated success in defining & implementing process improvements

• A solid understanding of delivering, deploying and supporting an integrated suite of products

• Are well versed in Agile development practices, DevOps and Continuous Delivery processes

What would be great to have:

• Domain knowledge in the banking, finance, payments, mobile technology

• Comfortable interacting with clients and senior management

• Experience or exposure in a vendor or consulting environment

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Sciences
