Job Title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator (Press Machine) Schedule: Monday through Thursday (2:00pm - 12:00am) Location: Alvic USA Job Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in the production process. This role involves setting up machines, monitoring their performance, conducting quality checks, and ensuring efficient production while adhering to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Machine Operation: • Operate various types of machinery used in production, including [specific machines, e.g., CNC machines, lathes, presses, etc.]. • Set up machines by installing and adjusting tools, fixtures, and other equipment. • Follow production schedules and instructions to meet daily targets. 2. Quality Control: • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality. • Perform regular quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications. • Report any defects or inconsistencies to the supervisor and take corrective actions as needed. 3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance. • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, working with maintenance teams for complex repairs. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and equipment damage. 4. Safety Compliance: • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure team members do the same. • Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately. 5. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of machine operation, production output, and downtime. • Complete production logs and other documentation as required. • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues and progress. Qualifications: • Education: • High school diploma or GED required. • Technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus. • Experience: Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. • Skills: • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production instructions. • Basic computer skills for operating machine interfaces and recording data. Reporting: The Machine Operator reports to the Lead Machine Operator.
