Muckleshoot Indian Tribe HR Analyst I - Training ($64,633 - $96,951) in Auburn, Washington

JOB SUMMARY

Under general direction, provides support and assistance to the LDP and CDP Managers, and the Training Analyst(s) by performing a variety of technical and professional tasks in training and development. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, developing and facilitating orientation, soft skills and policy driven trainings, maintaining training records, and all other administrative support functions to meet the T&D needs of the organization. May also assist with the needs of the Career Development, Executive Management Training, or other development programs.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the administration and facilitation of New Hire Orientation as well as coordinate all NHO communications and follow-up tasks including being responsible for ongoing communication through the Introductory Period and beyond; help ensure employees have a smooth transition into a new position and have the training needed to be successful.

  • Complete all training administration tasks that include, but are not limited to: scheduling trainings, data entry into ADP Learning Management System, maintain training records, etc.

  • Assist in facilitation to departments as needed using methods that best suit the needs of employees.

  • Has an awareness of departmental activities and works to support them through a wide variety of clerical and support tasks, including, but not limited to production of materials, scheduling, coordination, physical set-up, etc.

  • Researches and recommends external solutions where needed, providing coordination with internal and external representatives.

  • Assist in selecting or developing training aids including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.

  • Contribute to new training program design and existing program enhancements to meet the needs of MIT employees

  • Assist with various research and/or special projects or reports.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities

EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION

  • Associate’s degree in related field.

  • Two (2) years’ related work experience with adult learning and instructional design, providing training to adult groups using various training methods.

  • High School diploma/GED with an additional four (4) years of professional and career development training experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree requirement.

  • Attend additional training as needed.

Skill in:

  • Effective communications both written and orally

  • Scheduling, planning, time management, etc.

  • Designing and delivering high quality trainings

  • Strong critical thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges

  • Understanding how to engage participants in training

    Knowledge of:

  • Modern principles of adult learning techniques, behavior modification, and facilitation

  • Training assessment, design development, implementation, and evaluation

    Ability to:

  • Develop strong interpersonal relationships to work effectively with all levels of the organization, individually and in groups

  • Work with and maintain confidential materials and information

  • Be patient and flexible

  • Multi-task and balance multiple priorities

  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment, addressing any problems in the training room in accordance with policies

  • Listen effectively and be accepting of constructive feedback

  • Convey a message in the classroom in a way where everyone understands the content

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The working conditions described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this class. The employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately.
