Summary
The Warehouse Manager provides direction and has ownership for warehousing, palletizing, and distribution activities at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Auburn, KY. Your leadership of the warehouse operations will include uninterrupted delivery of goods to/from production lines and manufacturing areas, the receipt of inbound materials from vendor and other sites, the deployment and shipment of finished good material and raw materials to other sites, and the leadership of multiple contracts/leases including off-site storage, transportation, and equipment. You’ll design and develop product movement and storage systems, improve operations, and support the front-line staff. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and across multiple shifts in a non-union environment. You lead by example and inspire your team to deliver top results. Responsibilities
Empower and develop teams by applying situational leadership, coaching, facilitation, presentation, role playing (feedback & conflict management) skills.
Removes barriers and obstacles to team performance. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and tenacity to resolve problems and implement process improvements. Leads failure analysis when required for failures. Participates in planning for warehouse team improvements.
Perform evaluations and creates development/training plans for individuals within the team and manages employee engagement.
Develops and ensures all procedures and best practices are documented and creates an atmosphere of 100% compliance to operational processes and procedures and continuous improvement using problem solving methodologies and established principals, including GMPs and other guidelines to ensure safety and sanitation.
Participate in the development of setting distribution budgets and manage expenses within the established budget
Coordination and control of the manufacturing cycle; monitoring quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of ingredients and finished goods
Work closely with other departments to achieve operational targets (Production, QA, Maintenance, etc.)
Monitoring and controlling the movement of inventory, including receiving, storing, rotating and handling of ingredients and finished goods
Plan warehouse and distribution center layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization
Maintain and establish equipment contracts throughout the facility (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
Ensure all production orders are shipped in a timely manner, in adherence to delivery schedules
Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials
Supervise facility design, improvements, and contracts
Support the SQF Program by developing and implementing department specific SOP’s that align with the program and participate on the Champion HACCP team
Implement Champion’s strategic plan and contribute to and be involved in the evaluation and analysis of the business objectives

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Purchasing preferred
Minimum of 7-10 years warehouse leadership experience.
Detailed understanding of how all areas of the plant interact to contribute to the business with a collaborative approach developing strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience in managing third-party logistics providers, experience with international logistics an asset
Proven success working within CapEx and annual department plans
Working knowledge of SQF Program including GMP, Food Safety, HACCP
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems, experience with M3 an asset
Self-directed, highly motivated, detail oriented, and able to work independently while providing leadership to a team
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to train, coach, evaluate, and improve front-line leaders
Motivated, energetic, goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
