Summary

The Inventory Analyst main role is to analyze inventory receipts for accounts payable processing and Cross Train with Production Analyst. The Inventory Analyst will collaborate closely with supervisors, accounts payable, and Production Analyst to troubleshoot receiving entries. This position is responsible for keeping the Kitchen Controller apprised on any issues that need to be addressed as it relates to inventory and manufacturing.

Job Duties

  • Collect, organize, and scan receiving paperwork.

  • Run the PO receiving report from SharePoint and attach to paperwork.

  • Confirm receipt of ingredients & paperwork with M3, troubleshoot and resolve issues before sending/scanning paperwork from our kitchen and offsite warehouses.

  • Combine signed/approved POs with paperwork and save to correct vendor folder.

  • File hard copies of receiving paperwork.

  • Collaborating with supervisors to troubleshoot issues related to receiving paperwork.

  • Update weekly KPI’s and inventory counts.

  • Make inventory adjustments based on systematic or human errors.

  • Assign flushed mash with ID numbers and communicate to production.

  • Perform stock splits when necessary.

  • Must be able to interact cohesively and efficiently with all levels of manufacturing.

  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of the Company’s financial records.

  • Year end physical counts of ingredients and packaging onsite and offsite at 3rd party locations.

  • Reconciles all processes of the manufacturing order.

  • Enters and reports any discrepancy findings within consumption.

  • Perform other duties, as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Proficient Excel skills.

  • Understands Kitchen Paperwork flow.

  • Knowledge of and experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system.

  • Excellent people skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Work Conditions

  • Work location is at our DogStar Kitchen in Auburn, KY.

  • Work environment is in a pet food production office environment, with possible exposure to some dust and odors.

  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

  • Overtime as necessary.

  • Paperwork will have originated from the Production department, and as a result may be dirty and odorous.
