Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The role involves performing mechanical repairs on equipment, troubleshooting, and maintaining conveyor systems and mobile equipment such as forklifts and skid steers.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, including swapping out drives and 3-phase motors.

• Maintain and repair mobile equipment (forklifts, skid steers), including replacing hydraulic hoses and light fabrication.

• Change out blades and augers on shredder machines.

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on conveyor systems and mobile equipment during the 3rd shift.

• Document all PM activities and make notes on visual inspections for future planning.

• Handle tasks such as changing belts on conveyor lines, swapping out head pulleys, and changing bearings.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of mechanic/industrial maintenance experience.

• General hydraulic/pneumatic experience, including swapping out hoses and replacing o-rings.

• Experience performing PM on equipment, such as checking fluid levels, greasing bearings, and changing belts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot 480v 3-phase motors.

• VFD troubleshooting experience.

• PLC/electrical troubleshooting experience.

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mobile equipment (cranes, yard trucks, skid steers, forklifts).

• Computer skills for documenting maintenance activities.

Work Environment

This role is based in an indoor/outdoor facility, requiring comfort with working in various elements and getting dirty. The 3rd shift operates from 11 pm to 7 am. Expect to work at least 45 hours a week with optional overtime available. There are a few mandatory Saturdays throughout the year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
