DeKalb County Government Jail Systems Administrator in Auburn, Indiana
Do you have what it takes to become the next full time, salaried/exempt Jail Systems Administratorof DeKalb County's Department of Information Systems?
The Jail Systems Administrator's role is tomanage and tune in-house computer software systems and network connections to ensure highlevels of availability and security of the supported business applications. Provides support forMobile Data Terminals as well as in car video and body camera systems.
This individual alsoparticipates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure systemprovisioning and maintenance that is consistent with County goals, industry best practices andregulatory requirements under the direction of the Director of the County's Information Systems.

To perform this position effectively, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. The successful candidate will be proficient in verbal and written communication to awide audience (department staff, County officials, general public); have a college diploma or universitydegree in the field of computer science and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience and certificationsin any industry-related software/systems. Partial list of requirements: Working technical knowledge ofnetwork, PC, and platform operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office;working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including[firewalls, Active Directory...]; strong knowledge of local area network administration and hands-onsoftware, mobile data/car video/body camera technology and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and possess a valid driver's license.
On-site working hours are 6am - 2pm, Monday - Friday with after-hours availability when necessary.
