Job Summary:
The Development Engineer will coordinate and manage engineering and technical development projects utilizing our Phase Gate process to ensure successful results.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Oversees various aspects of workflow, core team selection, budget allocation, and scheduling of the assigned projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans, scoping, timelines, and budgets.
Plans, organizes, and leads technical projects for multiple facilities.
Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, and practices used for the project.
Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, or financial stability of vendors.
Leads the core team in executing project goals.
Ensures projects are on-time, on-budget, and in-full.
Collaborates with design team to change project plans if the need arises.
Analyzes equipment, systems, labor, technology, and processes, to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
Prepares periodic project status reports for leadership.
Ensures compliance with safety, codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
Collaborates with the operations team to identify and resolve issues.
Collaborates with project engineers from other plants to share problems and solutions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
