Salary Range: $39,000-$48,000
Position Overview:
The Payroll Clerk I is responsible for the processing of hourly and salaried payrolls for U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, and Canada. Essential Responsibilities:
Processes hourly and salaried payrolls for U.S. and Canada, including quick pay
Transfers and balances Time Sheet information from Scheduling to HR Accounting
Processes and reviews garnishment reports
Processes unemployment and disability wage requests
Creates and maintains multiple Excel spreadsheets
Processes tax balance adjustments
Runs integrity reports to ensure state and local taxes are withheld correctly
Completes weekly payroll costing reports
Assists in implementing new processes and procedures
Responds to employee inquiries concerning payroll
Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all duties

Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree; an equivalent of training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Payroll, HR, or Finance
Knowledge of taxation laws for US and Canada
Ability to use the following software packages or programs: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook; HR and Accounting software, preferably Oracle HR Accounting and KBACE Kube Manager
Must be accurate and detail-oriented
The ability to troubleshoot and balance weekly payroll
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to work in a team environment
Knowledge of garnishment rules
The ability to prioritize and expedite assigned tasks
The ability to analyze and audit payroll data
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time, use a keyboard and mouse, frequently.
