Job Title: Associate Operations Coordinator

Job Description

The Associate Operations Coordinator performs basic operational tasks to meet the transportation needs of customers and carriers. With a sharp focus on data integrity, quality, and efficiency, the individual may perform operational tasks supporting a specific customer, vertical segment, or within a centralized operations center. Responsibilities will vary depending on the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks in accordance with office and company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs): providing shipment information, creating orders, activating shipments, building loads, assigning loads, scheduling appointments, tracking and tracing shipments, entering events, and invoicing.

  • Monitor task boards and assigned email accounts to respond to customer and carrier requests.

  • Document events utilizing knowledge gained through SOPs and experience, and follow defined escalation procedures and training when required.

  • Follow through on customer or carrier requests to ensure satisfaction.

  • Escalate questions or requests when necessary.

  • Validate and ensure the accuracy of load data in systems according to company and customer standards.

  • Track shipments, enter data for shipments into the system, and communicate delays with all parties.

  • Participate in team calls and meetings.

  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to team and/or country-specific requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior logistics experience

  • Experience in an open floor/pit setting

  • Ability to take direction from multiple people

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Previous customer service experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrated communication, prioritization, and time management skills

  • Prior work experience requiring attention to detail and accuracy

Work Environment

This position is onsite four days a week in a low cubicle, open-concept space with two monitors. The dress code is business casual. You will work on a team of 15 and cross-functionally with 110 people on the operations team. The culture is laid back, fun, fast-paced, and loud with music playing. Mondays and Thursdays are required on-site with one remote day chosen from Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday. Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8-5 with a one-hour lunch break, strictly 40 hours per week. The office features onsite food vendors, a café, and a rooftop with skyline views.
