Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Mill Machinist at our Auburn, CA/Vian Enterprises location. 1st Shift if M-F 7-4:30pm.

Job Summary:
The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Essential Functions:
Understand work orders,blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters
Validate material used
Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn tools
Listen to machining operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems
Measure dimensions of finishedwork pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standards
Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps
Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Non-Essential Functions:
- Maintain conscientious work behaviors including work ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 4+ year of experience machining with CNC Mills and/or Lathe
Knowledge: Knowledge of various inspection equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, and height gages; Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations; Knowledge of Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing; Understanding of cutting tool Geometry; Knowledge of tooling and coordination
Skills/Abilities: Able to work quickly and efficiently through Process Improvement structure; Good verbal and written communication; Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent
Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Understanding of CNC G Code
Understanding of basic Math, Geometry and Trigonometry

Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limitedto:eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary

Top Benefits:
Salary range: $25.41 to $40.77. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
