Context:
Inside the Syensqo Information Technologies (IT) entity, scope service delivery services and value creation for R&I, the Experiment Automation and Data acquisition team deliver support services and solutions for R&I laboratories requests and needs.
As part of the team responsibilities, we are managing a wide range of solutions to support R&I and Industrial business. Such as: Laboratory PCs (LABPCs for R&I and QC), IOT, Digital reactor, Lab Mobility, …
A Laboratory PC (LabPC) is a PC or a Workstation connected to the Syensqo’s network and able to control, operate and perform data acquisition from Analytical Instruments or Automated Experiments, offering multiple access to data by other PCs and Digital applications.
We are looking for :
Inside this team, we are looking for an IT Syensqo local Scientific Specialist who will deliver :
Day to day support request and incident management for all technical solutions/products already installed WW
New request management: analysis, evolution, new installations, new needs
Proximity with the business
Purchase of Laboratory softwares
Technical Expertise on Laboratory solutions (Instruments, IT solutions, etc…)
Security & compliance according to corporate policies
Contribution on projects / transformation activities:
New technologies developments and roll out
Migration activities
Improve data acquisition security
Operational Technologies integrations
We count on you for:
Business Continuity:
Being accountable for the good functioning of the automation solution in production
Being the local service contact, to listen and understand the needs of the users
Coordinating with other IT teams such as Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, other Business IT teams (Digital operations, Connected research, …) to deliver value to our customers.
Ensuring high relationships with instrument/software vendors to ensure support and business continuity.
Delivering professional services and ensuring data quality (Ticket management, inventory updates, …) with respect to the SLAs in place.
Service evolution Lifecycle:
Maintaining knowledge (functional & technical) about the service
Participating to service continuous improvement initiatives
Participating in the team’s life by sharing knowledge and collaborate with your peers
Innovating and propose new solutions or improvements
You will bring:
Hard skills
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar environment (Support of R&I and/or Industrial activities)
Understanding of the interface and communication between workstation and the automation area (Instrument, OT, …)
Knowledge of
Microsoft technologies, Network, Hosting landscapes.
Workstation design and technology : Operating system, Software , Cybersecurity, …
Identity management tools (Active Directory, …)
ITSM tool and related processes (BMC Helix preferable)
Soft skills
Accountable for the service delivery
Be the ambassador of the team locally (Communicate with users about the team, processes, ongoing projects, …)
Discipline (share best practices, Punctuality, Follow processes in place, …)
Technology passionate about
Problem Solver (Troubleshooting, Identifying issues, Proactive, ...)

Additional information :
Remote working is allowed: 2 days per week maximum
Fluent English and local language mandatory
