Description
Jackie Meza with Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller. This role is situated in the manufacturing industry and focuses on maintaining accurate accounting records and managing annual budgets. Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing and managing the entire accounting functions within the plant
• Utilizing accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and generate reports
• Developing and managing the annual budget for the plant
• Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Coordinating with the plant management team to formulate strategic financial plans
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in accounting procedures
• Implementing cost accounting systems and strategies to help understand the company's manufacturing operations
• Collaborating with other departments to streamline operations, improve processes, and guide business decisions
• Preparing financial statements and reports to guide decision-making processes
• Monitoring financial performance and implementing strategies to increase profitability.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated ability in performing Accounting Functions
• Experience in preparing and managing Annual Budgets
• Proficiency in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of accounting principles and legal standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong leadership skills and ability to oversee a team
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
