Join Our Team at Atlantic High School: Vocal Music Teacher

Atlantic High School seeks a passionate, certified Vocal Music Teacher who believes in the potential of all students to excel. With a well-respected music program featuring two choirs and two show choirs, AHS offers a student-centered environment where music education thrives. We are looking for an organized, positive, and student-focused leader who will cultivate a respectful, nurturing, and safe classroom where students feel valued and inspired.

In addition to the teaching contract, the selected candidate will receive an extracurricular contract for HS Vocal Music, including show choir events, concerts, musicals, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson supplies and equipment in advance to ensure smooth and efficient class start.
• Foster a focused and engaged classroom environment, ensuring students are quickly on task.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.
• Design instructional plans that align with district-wide curricular goals, approved by the Board of Education.
• Tailor curriculum to meet the diverse interests and needs of students.
• Scaffold learning to ensure all students have access to challenging and enriching tasks.
• Implement instructional strategies that cater to diverse learning needs through differentiation and adaptation.
• Pursue professional growth through district-provided and self-selected development activities.
• Foster positive, equitable relationships with students, co-workers, parents, and the community.
• Contribute to school life through non-instructional duties as needed.
