Bus Driver GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION: Responsible for transporting children ages 6-18 and staff to specific destinations safely.
ESSENTIAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Safely transports passengers to and from predetermined destinations. * Complies with local traffic regulations. * Provides daily bus inspections and checks. * Maintain clean bus. Reports unruly behavior to supervisor. * Assures bus meets regular maintenance schedules. * Instructs youth in safety precautions, practices and evacuations. * Assist Unit Director with any other duties assigned. * Manage effectively, behaviors that are aligned with the club, grant compliance and health & safety protocols. * Assure that the daily operation complies with the requirements for a license Child Care Afterschool facility.
REQUIREMENTS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting on a regular basis. Must have commercial drivers license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
MENTAL DEMANDS: Provide daily inspection reports and assess any potential problem areas. Ability to read reports and apply concepts.
COMMUNICATION: Excellent written and verbal language skills which allows for clear communication internally and externally.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience with transporting children'
