Traveling Automation Maintenance Technician

Location: Lafayette, IN

Pay: $45/HR

Per Diem: $150 per day, 7 days a week

Shift: 2nd, 3rd, weekend 50-60 hour weeks

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines. The ideal candidate will handle automation machine tool electrical maintenance, working on a variety of CNC equipment including CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC machining centers, and robotics

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines.

• Handle electrical maintenance for automation machine tools.

• Work on CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC machining centers, and robotics.

• Repair P&H cranes/hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, and CNC machine tools.

• Repair CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from brands like Fanuc, Siemens, Modicon, and Rockwell.

• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems.

• Connect a laptop to machines to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues.

• Use an MMS system to generate work orders and log all maintenance performed.

• Prioritize machinery repairs based on the value stream of the equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to hire position based out of Lafayette, Indiana.
