Job Description

The Training Specialist is responsible for training team associates to maximize effectiveness by ensuring associates have thorough knowledge of products, processes, and can effectively use skills, troubleshoot, and resolve problems. The Training Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert and is responsible for ensuring that all site initiatives are implemented and executed per Company standards. This position is expected to perform a wide variety of activities and all training programs aimed at driving excellence and efficiency.

• Presentation Skills- must be able to provide clear direction, present in a variety of settings, utilize time management skills, be flexible and apply adult learning principles.

• Coaching-ability to diagnose trainees' skill level & determine root cause for development, coach on performance & behavioral issues, provide encouraging and constructive feedback

• Planning-Orchestrate multiple activities, collaborate with team members proactively, develop effective training content, agendas & workshops

• Leadership-Model personal & professional values, align dept. goals with corporate strategy, develop effective relationships, build team synergy within & across departments and maintain a strong connection/presence with the repair site and across departments

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• When not providing training, this individual will be performing technician responsibilities to assist in daily production.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the site's training requirements.

• Work with departmental managers to identify training needs.

• Create curriculum,

• Tailor training and set schedules according to department needs.

• Develop / Maintain training documents, instructions, processes

• Act as liaison to other department managers for training-related issues and questions.

• Have thorough knowledge of site products/processes.

• Work with the team to increase depth of organizational knowledge and improve efficiencies.

• Analyzes and improves training effectiveness and additional mentoring needed during training as well as post-training follow up, especially with new hires in the first weeks of production.

• Conduct operational and technical training as well as training in other various areas

• Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and business initiatives

• Follow all rules and regulations and adhere to the highest ethical standards

• Must be flexible, innovative and self- motivated

• Other duties as assigned such as but not limited to improvement process

Job Requirements

a) Knowledge and Skills

 Computer skills with knowledge of ERP/MRP, Excel spreadsheets and Word.

 Familiarity with industry terminology.

 Thorough site product knowledge – including inspection processes.

 Technical aptitude including interpreting FAA/EASA regulations and standards as they relate to repair station operations.

 Follow all rules and regulations and adhere to the highest ethical standards

 Must be flexible, innovative and self- motivated

 Excellent skills in leadership and training

 Extremely organized. Strong multitasking and time-management skills.

 Able to prioritize all responsibilities & multi-task with a strong sense of urgency

• 5+ Years Aviation Repair

• Knowledge of aviation component repair and repair station operations

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

• Must have at least 2 years' experience in developing and delivering training programs.

• Strong Presentation ability
