MISSION / SUMMARY:

The Sustainability Associate will support the company’s sustainability initiatives through leading supply chain’s completion of questionnaires, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring adherence to sustainability standards such as SFI, FSC, PEFC, and ISCC PLUS.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

• Coordinate and complete customer questionnaires regarding the company’s supply chain sustainability practices.

• Create a library of standard answers to common customer questions.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams on the company’s survey intake and answering process.

• Engage with various parts of the company’s global supply chain to acquire, harmonize, and cleanse data and necessary information for sustainability reporting and customer surveys.

• Assist the Supply Chain Manager in maintaining and updating sustainability certifications (SFI, FSC, PEFC, ISCC PLUS).

• Participate in sustainability audits and assessments.

• Generate reports and/or dashboards to support the development of goals and targets and to improve impact against material issues.

• Support the development and implementation of sustainability programs and initiatives.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Basic understanding of sustainability certifications and supply chain management.

• Experience with sustainability certifications (SFI, FSC, AF&PA) is a plus.

• Familiarity with data management and reporting tools.

• Ability to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Superior verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range: $52,500.00 - $69,930.00
