PRIMARY PURPOSE : Provides expert advice on the investigation and assessment of equipment damages and failure through detailed reports, expert testimony, and consultation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Investigates and assesses equipment specific damages due to failures and determines the origin of failure for insurers and litigation.
Determines and documents the failure analysis and causation of failures using comprehensive root cause analysis of faults and unexpected behavior based on measured data and numerical models.
Provides expert consultation following inspection procedures and regulatory requirements for damage and failure investigation and analysis.
Produces detailed reports outlining the cause and origin of losses and damages.
Serves as a commercial equipment loss consultant, investigating cause of loss and recover options.
Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis for failure analysis and forensic engineering telecom projects for clients.
Adheres to quality assurance measures and accreditation standards as mandated by all applicable rules, policies, protocols, and procedures.
Collaborates with sales and operations managers, architects, developers, insurance adjusters, claims managers and attorneys to develop demand for EFI professional services.
Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis for failure analysis and forensic engineering and telecom projects for clients.
Adheres to quality assurance measures and accreditation standards as mandated by all applicable rules, policies, protocols, and procedures.
Collaborates with sales and operations managers, architects, developers, insurance adjusters, claims managers and attorneys to develop demand for EFI professional services.
Performs structural analysis of towers, antenna/equipment mounts and platforms, and water tanks and buildings for the addition and alteration of wireless telecommunication antennas and other equipment.
Designs steel frames and platforms, tower and building upgrades, antenna support structures, tower and platform foundations.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
Travels as required.
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
Seven (7) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with engineering reporting preferred.
