Shepard Exposition Services Staff Accountant (Hybrid) in Atlanta, Georgia
The Staff Accountant will work as a member of the Finance and Accounting team. In this capacity, the Staff Accountant will partner with the Corporate Controller as well as other finance team members across Shepard to provide accounting and finance support as necessary.
Essential Job Duties
Prepare and post journal entries during month-end closing for multiple entities while adhering to deadlines
Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
Reconcile accruals and loan interest/principal payments for deferred rent
Track and reconcile Fixed Assets for all entities
Prepare documents for audits
Partner with the Corporate Controller to improve financial processes
Conduct monthly variance analysis
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of professional accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including vlookup, if statements, and pivot tables
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on interpersonal skills with a customer focus
Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
Ability to work under time constraints and ensure deadlines are met
Process exceptional attention to detail and have strong follow-up skills

Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner
