Description:

The Network Engineer is a central university office position responsible for voice, data and wireless engineering for our higher education client's Enterprise communications systems. He/she applies knowledge of network systems, applications, and network infrastructure to provide technical expertise for network infrastructure designs, expansions, configurations and build out. This position acts as a subject matter expert on network communications and provides auxiliary support for other IT services and supports other Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Healthcare staff to build out customer network at the customer premise. He/she has the aptitude to perform troubleshooting, testing, engineering and demonstrates leadership and mentoring of less-experienced technicians. He/she provides support without direction, and support modifications/changes to configuration. The Network Engineer reports to Build Manager of Network Services.
