AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.
How you will create an impact
Within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations team, the Sr. IAM Operations Automation Engineer will be responsible for managing IAM operations activities, maintaining systems operations, and identifying areas for improvement. The right candidate has developed solutions for and has a strong working knowledge and understanding of IAM concepts such as access management, identity governance and administration, advanced authentication, and privileged access management. In this role, one is expected to demonstrate the ability to provide leadership, be a problem solver, and provide exceptional customer service. The Sr Operations engineer will also be required to participate in technical architecture and design conversations with various audiences across the enterprise. The engineer will also oversee and serve as an escalation point for IAM operational activities during major incidents.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing multiple identity management platforms (B2E, B2C, and B2B) for providing application integration, platform configuration, and operational support
Designing and implementing identity and entitlement lifecycle workflows in various platforms
Developing with APIs for application onboarding and provisioning of roles
Planning and executing the transition of services and applications from a legacy system to modernized infrastructure
Integrating, developing, or administering identity and access management security solutions
Integrating user account management across industry-standard OS platforms
Developing solutions using modern development language (preferably Java/J2EE, PowerShell, JavaScript etc.)
Management of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, or other directory systems
Automation of user provisioning and reporting using industry-standard platforms and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
Developing IAM solutions using federation and SSO technologies such as SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth, ADFS, or Multifactor Authentication
Managing and supporting IGA application integrations
Managing multiple vendors and resources to provide direction, guidance, and support
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology. (master’s degree preferred)
10+ years’ experience in information security or information technology as an engineer.
7+ years as an operations engineer with hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ
3+ years managing vendors and/or 3rd party resources
Proficient in SailPoint IdentityIQ installation, configuration, and administration
Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including identity lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and least privilege principles
Technical hands-on experience in the following: Microsoft IAM, Oracle IAM, SailPoint IAM, IdP, AD, LDAP, Saviynt, RSA, Single Sign-On, OAuth, SAML, DNS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure
Basic knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, JavaScript)
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering secure solution.
Self-starter who is proactive, motivated, and resourceful, takes ownership of their work, embraces challenges, and consistently strives for excellence.
Ability to think strategically and drive business outcomes.
Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or other cloud security certifications, are a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated by cross-functional team engagement, electronic communication, and program/process documentation
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development around cloud technologies, automation, and AI
Understanding of one or more control frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA-HITECH, SSAE 16, PCI, HITRUST, ISO 27001, etc
Solid understanding of SOX, SOC, and other regulations related to Identity and Access Management, including GDPR
Familiar with privacy, financial compliance regulations, and IT and security frameworks and standards

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $126,000-$171,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
