Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in General Ledger (GL) accounting, Month-End Close processes, and proficiency with ERP systems. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial processes. Key Responsibilities:
Manage Financial Close Process: Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
General Ledger Oversight: Ensure proper maintenance and accuracy of the General Ledger. Reconcile and review accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and compliant with GAAP or relevant accounting standards.
ERP System Expertise: Act as a power user of the company’s ERP system. Be responsible for financial module updates, troubleshooting, and implementing system improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review timely financial statements and management reports. Collaborate with other departments to provide detailed insights and address issues as needed.
Internal Controls and Compliance: Maintain and enforce internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and address areas for improvement in processes and procedures.
Support External Audits: Assist with annual external audits, including preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance to entry level accounting staff, offering mentoring and training to promote detail oriented growth and technical skill development within the team. Requirements Education and Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent detail oriented certification preferred. Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on GL accounting and month-end close responsibilities. Hands-on experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics). Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis). Experience in financial reporting and compliance reporting. Familiarity with financial analytics platforms is a plus. Key Traits:
Strong analytical ability with a detail-oriented and accuracy-driven mindset. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
