Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team in providing spiritual care to patients and families.

  • Participates in continuous collaboration with educator, team members and other health care professionals to promote environment of care, healing and professional development. Learns by participating in reflection groups, individual consultation and didactics totaling at least 100 hours per unit.

  • Is responsible for leading worship services as required at each site.

  • Understands and complies with Spiritual Health and CPE policies, and applicable Emory Healthcare and Emory University policies.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Theology or Divinity. Successful completion of one prior unit of CPE. Affiliation with ecclesiastical body preferred but not required.

  • If the goal is to become APC Board Certified, candidate will be required to have the affiliation but not if they enrolled in this program for continuing education credits or for skills in their faith community.

  • This is a time limited position for one year.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
