Sourcing Director- IT

PRIMARY PURPOSE : To lead the strategic sourcing team and the contract administration team including strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management, categorization, risk mitigation evaluation of indirect corporate suppliers, and review, evaluation, and recommendations to the corporate vendor programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads strategic sourcing initiatives acting as a trusted adviser to business partners in the vendor sourcing process by communicating strategic approach for vendor negotiations and/or ongoing projects; developing sourcing strategies; partnering with internal organization to define requirements; assisting with identifying vendors and leading RFXs; building and maintaining supplier/vendor onboarding process; and aiding business with executing on strategic goals.

  • Leads negotiation, writing, and reviewing of contract requests and statements of work.

  • Monitors and develops strategies around core critical suppliers for the organization.

  • Educates, informs, and generates excitement internally and externally garnering stakeholder support.

  • Leads a range of projects from transactional to complex spanning all types of third-party goods and services including review/validation of deliverables, resolving and mitigating issues, and creating efficiencies across all corporate spend categories.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Travels as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.

  • Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.

  • Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

Ten (10) years of related experience to include five (5) years of purchasing management; two (2) years of contract negotiation; and two (2) years supervision experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
