Amazon Senior Program Manager, Relay Operations Center Tech and Operations Integration in Atlanta, Georgia
Description
The Relay Operations Center (ROC) Tech and Operations Integration (OI) team is dedicated to the development and integration of technology that advances efficiency and elevates operational standards of the ROC. We act as liaison between Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Product and ROC Ops execution teams, to ensure that tech development aligns with customer needs and operations' priorities at a global scale. In addition to technological advancement, we streamline processes and businesses within the ROC organization, through structural, programmatic or operational enhancements that iterate on disruption management platforms.
ROC Tech and OI is looking for a Senior Program Manager to own strategic, tactical, and cross-functional projects and programs; leveraging Generative AI and automation solutions within ROC Global operations. This role will identify and implement process improvements leveraging AI-assisted automation to enhance internal workflows and external customer experience. Collaborating across tech, operations and program teams, the Senior Program Manager will standardize tech advancements and drive the adoption of Work Item Management System (WIMs) globally. They will monitor project progress, identify risks, and communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular status updates and proposing solutions for any challenges encountered. As a champion of ROC Tech and OI's global expansion goals, they will optimize resource allocation and achieve parity through the strategic implementation of Disruption Management technology/process standardization scaled to new teams and geographies.
Key job responsibilities
Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional, tech/process improvement related projects with considerable impact across multiple organizations
Work with various stakeholders to identify goals, roadblocks, gaps, and solutions
Ensure stakeholders policy documentation needs are met internally and externally for our customers needs.
Development of the overall program/project strategy, tactically driving teams in and outside of your organization to deliver
Define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics
Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions
Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources
Partner with internal/external teams and engineering teams to determine what projects move forward and in what priority order
Oversee gaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.)
Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
Work with program managers, business leaders and executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
Develop, implement, and govern Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers

A day in the life
The Tech and Operations Integration program manager will focus on developing strategy to scale the ATS middle mile network through technology and process optimization. This Program Manager will work between product, engineering and operations acting as a liaison to drive continuous improvement on behalf of external and internal Amazon customers.
About the team
The ROC Tech and OI team is dedicated to the development of technology that advances efficiency and elevates operational standards of the Relay Operations Center. To that end, we act as liaison between MMPT (Middle Mile Product Team) and ROC Ops teams, to ensure that feature development aligns with customer needs and operations' priorities at global scale. The key objective of the ROC Tech Team is that all ROC Teams should on Relay technology to the extent that enables ROC to grow as a global organization with geographically agnostic team structures.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
Experience in data analysis and basic understanding of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)
