Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Designer in Atlanta, Georgia

The Copilot for Sales team is reimagining the way that sellers work—enabling them to focus on building strong relationships with customers, empowering them to take data-driven actions, and enhancing their sales effectiveness. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with enterprise product design experience to help create the next generation of AI-powered experiences for sellers. For this role, we’re seeking a candidate with strong design skills and strategic thinking ability. You should have effective visual and interaction design skills and be comfortable navigating ambiguity in creating v1 experiences.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop concepts and prototypes, and advocate for new customer experiences. You will also contribute to evolving our design system, working with cross-functional teams to bring design coherence to our framework and create beautiful, inclusive, and accessible experiences that customers love.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design strategy, interaction design, and creative direction for new product experiences.

  • Collaborate across disciplines from the early stages of product development through to implementation.

  • Understand the behaviors, motivations, and needs of our users to develop impactful experiences.

  • Create innovative solutions to complex user experience challenges, leveraging your ability to map end-to-end experiences.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in our processes, products, and culture, and influence design direction and research methodologies.

  • Enhance user experience by creating interaction models and acting as a bridge between users and product teams.

  • Effectively communicate design ideas and product stories to a variety of audiences to gain buy-in from key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design

  • OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service designo OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years enterprise software design experience.

  • 2+ years' experience shipping AI or ML (machine learning) experiences and/or delivering to customers as a result of an end-to-end design process.  

  • Proficient visual design skills with relevant portfolio examples.

  • Ability to energize teams and advocate for your ideas.

  • Experience building, refining, or improving design systems at scale.  

  • Experience with React, JS, HTML, CSS.

Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
