As an Network Security Engineer - IT Information Security, you will provide Engineering services and support to ensure the operational sustainability of the critical infrastructure that supports Delta Air Lines Applications, Users, Partners, and Vendor connectivity and security for Delta’s Network Security Team.
Delta’s IT InfoSec Network Security Team is responsible for:
High performing and self-motivated, extensive professional experience in designing, implementing and managing a network security solutions, and also in providing network support.
Strong expertise in the areas of network security and troubleshooting.
Experience with devices Palo Alto Network firewalls such as security NAT, Threat prevention & URL filtering.
Implemented Zone Based Firewalling and Security Rules on the Palo Alto Firewall.
Strong experience in Firewall Technologies, including hands-on experience in providing firewall support, installation and analysis of infrastructure communication.
Identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the overall security of the system.
Creating different ways to solve the existing threats and security issues.
Configuring and implementing intrusion detection systems and firewalls.
Configuring and installing security infrastructure devices.
Determining latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the system.
Using industry-standard analysis criteria to test the security level of the firm.
Reporting the security analysis and monitoring findings.
Supervising the configuration and installation of new software and hardware.
Implementing regulatory systems in accordance with IT security.
Remote access and site-to-site VPN administration using Cisco ASA / Palo Alto Global Protect.
IT support to secure Internal, Partner, Vendor, and External connectivity to Delta and Tenant applications across multiple critical data center infrastructures.
IT support for firewall hardware and software maintenance includes site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, preventative maintenance, and break/fix services in data center critical infrastructure.
IT support of Enterprise Remote Access Users to align our client edge security technology with and client-based agent on workstations; the team can utilize next-generation technology such as App-ID and User-ID for granular user identification.
IT support for hardware and software maintenance includes site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, preventative maintenance, and break/fix services in data center critical infrastructure.
IT support for airport operations mobile connectivity solution, Netmotion, hardware, and software maintenance, which includes site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, preventative maintenance, and break/fix services in data center critical infrastructure.
Coordination with Delta’s Business divisions via consultation services responsible for firewall policies and access control guidance.
Operational On-call Support of critical facilities and infrastructure components for Network Security
Support the IT Information Security Department to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the enterprise data and applications.
Recommending and implementing departmental policy, guidelines, standards, and procedures.
Assures compliance with all governing corporate standards and guidelines.
Project management of data center and remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements
Ensuring accurate documentation, securing the best product and service prices, and ensuring that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations.
Support on-call responsibilities to ensure Enterprise applications and Consumer services are available at 99.999% SLA.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Self-starter, the ability follow-through on completion of tasks with guidance and direction
Builds and maintains effective communication and relationships with the management team, vendors, and peers.
Knowledge of Networking and Security: A strong understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols, is essential. Knowledge of cloud networking and security principles is also valuable.
System Administration Skills: Experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: The ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to the managed security appliance and its integration with other systems.
Monitoring and Security Analysis: Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing security logs and events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Customer Support and Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with end-users, understand their requirements, and provide adequate support.
Vendor Relationship Management: Ability to collaborate with the cloud service provider (in this case, Absolute) and ensure that service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Continuous Learning: The cloud computing and security field is constantly evolving, so a willingness to stay updated on industry trends and new technologies is crucial.
Flexibility to support an operation with varying shifts, extended hours, and on-call requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
BS Degree or Trade School Graduate
IT Support Experience (At least 6 months) within a development, production, or test environment, entitling, profiling, and/or installing software, and building/rebuilding security appliances.
PCNSA - Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (Recommended)
AWS Cloud Practitioner (Recommended)
