Job Summary:

The prime objective of this job title is to manage the insurance function within Artera, including streamlining the insurance process, managing brokerage relationships, and liaising with insurance companies, third-party administrators, and claims professionals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the administration of Artera’s insurance program, including data collection, exposure management, coordinating and managing the renewal process and handling the day-to-day brokerage relationships.

  • Conducts risk assessments, collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends.

  • Manages relationship with insurance brokers, including establishing procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and timely interactions and connections between the brokers and Artera’s operating companies.

  • Liaises with insurance companies as needed.

  • Provides recommendations to management on coverage for claims and liaises with claims professionals to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of claims to the correct carrier(s).

  • Liaises with claims professionals to drive measurable improvements in claims management.

  • Organizes training sessions for employees to develop their understanding of insurance policies and coverage.

  • Proactively reports issues to management.

  • Designs, updates and implements policies, procedures and protocols to ensure efficiency and accuracy in insurance operations.

  • Establishes policies and procedures to identify and address risks in the organization’s services and departments.

  • Reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements.

  • Recommends and implements risk management solutions such as insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures.

  • Serves as the lead project manager for annual renewal process and coordinates all data gathering; provides recommendations to senior management on renewal quotations and ensures timely placement of corporate policies.

  • Drafts and presents risk reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff (as needed).

  • Prepares reports through Riskonnect and provides analysis to senior management on the trends and spend data.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • Assist on M&A projects, leads insurance diligence workstream.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and policies.

  • Proficiency in Riskonnect software a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related field required.

  • At least 7 years of related work experience in the area of insurance and risk management strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to travel to Atlanta and other locations as may be required; estimated travel =25%
