How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior Engineer, Propulsion Repair Process Engineers in Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Workdirectly with engine maintenance, engineering team members, and engineeringmanagement to develop, repair, and process solutions for turbofan enginecomponents.

• Developrelationships and work with outside repair vendors to develop, repair, andidentify savings opportunities for turbofan engine components.

• Definescope of work for development projects, including equipment, tooling, and laborrequirements.

• Establishand maintain schedules that achieve defined objectives.

• Collaboratewith Delta’s SMEs and ODAs to develop substantiation and regulatory complianceplans.

• Organizeand prepare all relevant reports, drawings, and engineering authorizations forassigned projects.

• Telecommutingpermitted 1 day per week.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization in an engineering role with repair development responsibilities.

• In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field, and 1 year of experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization in an engineering role with repair development responsibilities

Must have academic or work experience in:

• Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software

• Aircraft or turbofan engine part design or repair

• Metallurgy or materials analysis

• Creating technical engineering reports

• Reviewing technical documentation, including repair manuals, technical/service bulletins, or drawings
