GE Vernova Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Description Summary

As a member of the Power compliance team, you will report to the Compliance Operations Leader for GE Vernova Power businesses. In your role as Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer, you will apply a risk-based approach, develop and conduct compliance monitoring activity utilizing data analytics, identify and understand relevant policies and procedures, provide an evaluation of compliance and ensure the implementation of remedial work arising from this is delivered in line with the defined requirements.

Job Description

What you'll do

  • Co-operate on the development of a comprehensive assurance program based on assessment of key risks, operational processes and compliance requirements defined in the enterprise standards and business policies.

  • Partner with functions like sourcing, commercial, legal, HR and controllership to define areas of monitoring. e.g. supplier/customer onboarding and due diligence, improper payments, third-party risks including business courtesies, high risk payments and commissions and discounts.

  • Design and perform risk-based testing activities utilizing and establishing big data analytics and monitoring tools.

  • Roll-up results into metrics that to identify trends, patterns and red flags.

  • Work with the compliance team and internal stakeholders to design and implement practical and operationally feasible remediation activities to assurance findings.

  • Develop key program effectiveness metrics to drive visibility into program/process maturity and its efficacy.

  • Demonstrate strong communication and data visualization skills, with the ability to communicate more than just numbers by translating complex analytics and findings into digestible stories that identify key business implications.

  • Support Compliance Operations Leader in continuous process improvement initiatives and ensure that the business implements and abides by our compliance program.

  • Assist with all other compliance-related duties and special projects as identified by the individual or as assigned by management.

What you'll bring (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • 5+ years in a compliance, monitoring/testing, audit or similar role

  • Experience working in a testing, audit or quality assurance environment

  • Strong data analytics skills

  • Proven record of identifying risks & controls and developing test scenarios.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a global organization and drive them to completion in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication; professional fluency in English

  • Self-starter with positive attitude

  • Pragmatic and action oriented.

  • Executive communicator able to explain complex topics understandably

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills with orientation toward process improvement

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and other analytical tools like Power BI, Python, SQL or similar

  • SAP / Oracle experience desirable

  • Deep domain knowledge in key compliance risk areas (e.g., the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, turnkey projects, third parties, public procurement, competition law)

  • Ability to create an environment of continual learning, and to change the way the compliance is working to be simpler and more adaptive.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $126,300.00 - 168,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for a 15% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least 8/14/2024.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
