Robert Half Security Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia

Description

We are accepting applications for the role of a Security Engineer, in the field of Information Security and Risk Management. 100% Remote. This role provides a platform to utilize your skills in a dynamic and challenging environment. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to perform varied tasks related to incident response

  • Works on complex projects of large scope both domestically and internationally

  • Develops innovative technical solutions consistent with organizational goals

  • Completes work independently with general guidance on new projects

  • Main Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring less experienced colleagues

  • Providing an organized, risk-based approach to remediate sensitive enterprise assets

  • Presenting data findings, influencing partners at multiple organizational levels

  • Establishing strong reporting metrics to influence behaviors

  • Act as a liaison with solution owners and IT groups to align strategy

    Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills

  • Proficient PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Strong written and oral interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

  • Experience with cyber security-related endpoints (laptop/desktop/server)

  • Experience with incident response case management and automation

  • Scripting and programming skills within a cyber security command center

  • Familiarity with Incident Response toolsets (next-generation endpoint, automation, etc.)

  • Familiarity with SIEM technologies, Cyber Kill Chain/Mitre ATT, CK frameworks

  • Familiarity with logging/monitoring solutions and agile methodology

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years experience in a related field preferred

  • CISSP or equivalent certifications are preferred

  • Experience with Splunk ES and developing correlation use cases is a plus
